This website is a hub of resources and events to assist Virginians in their role of managing plastic waste and reducing marine debris. It is intended for an array of audiences to help answer waste questions and identify opportunities to get involved and take action.
The Virginia Marine Debris Resources Hub was designed and will be maintained by Virginia Sea Grant, Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program, and Clean Virginia Waterways.
Our Mission
To engage Virginians in understanding, preventing, and mitigating marine debris by providing a hub of resources and tools to raise awareness and inspire action.
Our Goals
To expand the actions of the Virginia Marine Debris Reduction Plan outlined in the Marine Debris Overview. Engaging multiple audiences will help us achieve the goals of the Virginia Marine Debris Reduction Plan!
